Roland Rodriguez, managing principal, brings MFR clients more than 30 years of public accounting and business acumen. Mr. Rodriguez began building his accounting and consulting background during his 10-year tenure with an international Big Four accounting firm and has been instrumental in leading MFR to become the largest Hispanic-owned CPA firm in the United States. Mr. Rodriguez advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, financing alternatives and the structuring of strategic alliances and international business transactions, particularly those pertaining to NAFTA. During his distinguished career, Mr. Rodriguez has gained experience in the real estate, technology, manufacturing, financial, and retail industries, serving as senior financial and business advisor on numerous domestic and international merger and acquisition transactions. As a trusted business advisor, he is often the key coordinator for many clients’ business activities relating to financing, strategic planning, personal estate planning and related business matters.

Mr. Rodriguez is a graduate of Lamar University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting, the Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School and the Management and Leadership Program at Northwestern University. Professionally, he is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Texas Society of CPAs and the Association of Latino Financial Professionals. Mr. Rodriguez is a committed member of the business community, serving as a board member of Sterling Bank, the Greater Houston Partnership, Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Houston Minority Business Council and the Jones School of Management Council of Overseers at Rice University. He is also the current president of the Leadership 2000 Mentorship program. Mr. Rodriguez is a frequent speaker for professional and civic organizations.

Throughout his career, Mr. Rodriguez has received numerous accolades including the Savvy Award for community volunteerism, Leadership Houston’s 25 Distinguished Alumni and Houston Minority Business Council’s E-10 Award as one of Houston’s top minority entrepreneurs.
