MFR’s comprehensive attest services also include the agreed-upon procedures engagement, which centers on meeting the client's needs when special procedures are required. The procedures are independently performed by the accountant and subsequently reported to the client in the form of findings. The specific procedures to be performed are agreed to in advance by the client, in order to meet the reporting needs of the client on the subject matter in question.

The nature, timing and extent of the agreed-upon procedures will vary, as they are tailored to meet the client’s individual needs. Only those procedures approved in advance by the client will be performed, and the client remains responsible for the procedures and any future impact they may have on the organization.
