Houston, Texas (August 9, 2011) - MFR, P.C., a Houston-based CPA and business advisory firm, announced that their Public Sector and Healthcare Advisory Services Consulting practice would become a separate, but affiliated, company called MFR Solutions, Inc.  The move to this structure is consistent with the operating models of many other CPA firms and will allow the consulting practice more flexibility and better positioning to serve its public sector and healthcare clients.

MFR, P.C.’s executive team has made the decision to separate the firm’s consulting practice into a separate entity, MFR Solutions, Inc.  This move will allow both entities to operate more efficiently and effectively, in line with the firms’ long-term strategy. 

The firm also announced Roland Rodriguez as the Managing Principal of MFR Solutions, Inc.  Rodriguez’s leadership efforts will be supported by a team of principals who will transition from MFR, P.C. to the new entity: Laurie Robinson will provide practice leadership over administrative, business development, and strategic planning activities, Spurgeon Robinson will continue to lead public sector advisory services and program management consulting efforts, and Philip LeBlanc will continue to be responsible for healthcare advisory services efforts.
