Houston, Texas (June 30, 2009) – MFR, P.C., a leading Houston-based provider of accounting and business advisory services, announced last week that Spurgeon Robinson has been named a principal in the firm’s Public Sector Advisory Services practice.
Mr. Robinson has worked with MFR since September 2007. He is recognized as a national leader in Program Management for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Disaster Housing Assistance Program (DHAP). Mr. Robinson has oversight and management for more than 25,000 eligible DHAP families across 41 states. He has served as the Program Director and Administrator for DHAP Harris County, DHAP Greater New Orleans, DHAP USA and DHAP Memphis. Under his leadership, the DHAP Harris County program is recognized as the national model for post-disaster housing, customer service delivery and operational excellence.

Prior to joining MFR, Mr. Robinson was a senior manager at the Hewlett Packard Company where he managed North American Sales Operations and Remarketing for the Enterprise Products Group. Previously, Mr. Robinson was a manager at Deloitte Consulting, focusing in both Healthcare Strategy and Business Process Improvement.
