Houston, TX (March 1, 2009) — MFR, a leading local provider of accounting and business consulting services, recently announced that Matt Martina, CPA, has joined the firm to lead its International Business Solutions Unit (IBSU).
The IBSU team at MFR develops and delivers selective foreign country advisory services to companies with a presence in Houston. Mr. Martina’s vast experience planning global business and tax-optimization strategies for foreign-owned U.S. companies and U.S.-based multinationals positions him as the ideal choice to head this particular division of services for MFR.
With 25 years of international tax experience, Mr. Martina has held previous positions with Big-Four companies and has overseen projects that include mergers and acquisitions advisory, due diligence reporting, transfer pricing, repatriation planning, headquarter selection and foreign tax-credit planning.
