Houston, Texas (July 9, 2009) – MFR, P.C., a leading Houston-based provider of accounting and business advisory services, announced today that Lori Vetters has joined the firm’s administrative team as a principal. In this role, Ms. Vetters will lead business development efforts, work to build firm infrastructure and continue to establish the MFR brand in the marketplace as the firm experiences tremendous growth. Additionally, she will enhance MFR’s existing services by offering clients corporate finance advisory, which includes debt restructuring, re-capitalization and growth management advisory.
Prior to joining MFR, Ms. Vetters was president of the Houston Gulf Coast region of Wachovia Corporation. While at Wachovia, she led the four-year expansion of the company in the Houston Gulf Coast market, resulting in the fourth largest bank in Houston based on FDIC deposits of $7.1 billion (as of June 30, 2008.) In addition, Ms. Vetters has extensive experience in the financial industry through her previous leadership positions with JPMorgan Chase.

She is on the Executive Committee of the Greater Houston Partnership, serves as chairman of the board for Teach for America Houston and is a member of the Houston Zoo board. Ms. Vetters is also a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and the Junior League of Houston and serves on the Rice University Jones Business School Council of Overseers.
